If you are as healthy as a horse, and you are taking this fatty acid to simply boost your immune system and prevent yourself from acquiring those deadly diseases, then perhaps a 500 mg a day is sufficient enough. But if you have some ailments that you need to treat with Omega 3, by all means consult your doctor. This is because different ailments have varying suggested dosage. For example, those who have heart ailment take at least 1000 mg of fatty acid, and somehow that is taking 3 to 4 capsules of Omega 3 depending on the content of this polyunsaturated fatty acid in a capsule. Some capsules have 180 mg of Omega 3 while others have more.
Now what happens if you drink too much of this supplement? There is the tendency that you will suffer abdominal pain or upset stomach, and or experience bleeding.
